Product specification
The B-Tech BT8424 is a ceiling mount for screens from Up to 65 inches, supporting loads up to 50 kg. The published mounting specification gives you a defined starting point for checking screen compatibility. Use the 50 kg load rating as the upper limit when matching the mount to the complete installed screen.
Buying checks
- Screen and fixing limits: Recommended screen range: Up to 65 inches; maximum screen load 50 kg. Match the actual fixing pattern, not just the screen diagonal or maximum VESA envelope. The mount cannot establish the screen's own orientation permission.
- Included adaptors and exact variant: This black offer uses the 1 m pole: it is not the 1.5, 2 or 3 m version. Standard VESA/non-VESA fixing envelope is up to 468 × 400 mm; 600 × 400 mm requires the included adaptor arms and the appropriate landscape or portrait arrangement. Tilt is ±15°; screen mounting and ventilation limits still apply.
- Confirm ceiling-to-screen drop: The 1 m pole length is not a guarantee of a 1 m ceiling-to-screen-centre drop. The current specification’s 990 mm centre-drop label does not reconcile with the references in its drawing and installation guide. Confirm the exact required datum and installed centre height before ordering for a fixed-height installation.
- Qualified installation: Use a professional AV installer or another suitably qualified person. Read every instruction and warning, never use missing or defective parts and never exceed the stated load. Incorrect installation or use can cause serious injury and invalidate the manufacturer’s stated guarantees.
- Support and location: Indoor use only. The installer must verify the supporting structure and fixings, avoid hidden electrical cables and water or gas pipes when drilling, and secure all parts against falling. Keep public installations out of immediate reach. For floor-standing equipment, verify floor strength and stability, allow for contact and wind, and keep routes and emergency exits clear.
- Screen screws and spacers: Choose the correct screen screws and washers for the actual display and use spacers for recessed fixings. Use the illustrated arm arrangement and matching holes; the supplied fixing kit does not establish a universal screen screw insertion depth or suitability for every supporting structure.
- Cables and inspection: Keep cables tidy and secure without obstructing moving parts. Avoid crushing or trapping fingers while assembling or adjusting. Check every fixing immediately after installation and inspect the equipment and fixing points at intervals no longer than six months.
- Ceiling, pole and screen security: The installer must establish suitable ceiling fixings and capacity. Fit the pole safety bolt, or the specified alternative screw where needed for cable clearance, before fitting any AV equipment; secure the grub screws and both collars as instructed. Use two-person screen handling where necessary, fit the screen locking screws and secure tilt as instructed. The optional padlock is not included. Route cables through the pole and ceiling plate without obstruction.
- Optional AV equipment: The guide illustrates separately supplied AV equipment behind the screen, secured with the supplied cable ties. Its recommended equipment envelope is up to 60 mm depth and 100 mm height; spacers may be needed. This is not an included player or a guarantee of compatibility with every device.
- Technical drawing scope: The technical drawing is in millimetres and carries a revision/date and an accuracy, currency and suitability disclaimer. Use it alongside the installation guide and the screen instructions, not as a guarantee of site suitability. Disputed measurements or screen-range labels must be confirmed before relying on them.
