Healthcare reception and waiting room screens

Help patients find their way and keep waiting areas informed with reception screens and digital signage. Start with what visitors need to read, then compare screen size, operating hours and how your team will update the information. Staff briefing and training rooms may need different display features.

Choosing reception and waiting room displays

What screen should I choose for a waiting room?

Start with the information patients need to read and the furthest seating position. Compare screen size, text readability, ambient light and rated operating hours. Decide how staff will update the content before choosing between a display with a suitable built-in player and one using an external source.

Can a reception screen show patient-calling information?

That depends on the output and compatibility requirements of your patient-calling system. Confirm the required connection, player or software with the system provider, then compare the display against those requirements. A signage screen by itself does not include patient-calling software or system integration.

Is a reception display suitable for clinical use?

A display selected for visitor information is not automatically a clinical or diagnostic display. Establish the intended use and your organisation’s cleaning, safety and technical requirements, then check the exact model against them. Do not infer medical certification from a healthcare setting.
