Product specification
The iiyama T1634MC-B1S is a 15.6-inch touch monitor. Its Full HD resolution defines the native canvas across the 15.6-inch screen. The 1 × HDMI inputs make it easier to plan how the required local sources will connect.
Buying checks
- Touch compatibility: Multi-touch requires a supported operating system. Check the intended host operating system and touch connection before ordering.
- Protection rating: The IP65 protection rating applies to the front of the display.
- Orientation and stand tilt: Use normal landscape rotation only, not portrait or inverted landscape. The separate stand tilt permits 90° upwards to 5° downwards, including face-up on the stand; it is not permission to lay the cabinet on its back or obstruct its vents. Hold the panel securely, avoid touching the LCD and keep fingers clear of the moving stand.
- Mounting and enclosure cooling: The wall, ceiling or desktop arm must support the display and mount. Use four M4 screws with the diagrammed chassis-insertion dimension L of 8 mm, allowing separately for mounting-stage thickness; this is not an 8 mm total screw-length instruction. Longer screws can contact electrical parts, causing electric shock or damage. An external cabinet requires cooling fans and vents to stay within the operating-temperature limits.
- Touch connection and startup: Connect USB-TP for touch as well as a separate video cable to the external computer. Switch both devices off before connecting; connect the adaptor to the monitor and power cable to the adaptor before the supply. Turn the monitor on before the computer. Incorrect cables or connections can damage both devices. Use protective earth and a nearby accessible socket; the manual specifies a 120/240 V, 20 A maximum building circuit breaker. Do not touch the screen during host startup because the touch driver may fail to start. BIOS power-saving settings may prevent the driver running; the manual advises disabling that setting if affected. Remote Control Touch V01 is optional.
- Included kit and power options: The package lists power, HDMI, DisplayPort and USB cables, an AC adaptor, stand neck and base with their screws, screwdriver and guides. VGA cable and Remote Control Touch V01 are not included. Poor-quality VGA cables can cause electromagnetic interference. The manual lists two adaptor types: Delta ADP-50YH B, 12 V/4.16 A/50 W, and SOY-1200500-327, 12 V/5 A/60 W; this does not promise both or a guaranteed 60 W unit. Use the approved supplied power cable and adaptor; problems caused by non-supplied power equipment invalidate its guarantees and warranties. The cable minimum is H05VVF, 3G, 0.75 mm². Its 120 V-area note requires a 10 A/250 V cable if using a supply above the enclosed 10 A/125 V cable rating.
- Touch operating-system limits: The matrix supports mouse, digitizer and gestures on Windows 8/8.1/10 and Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. Windows 7 Starter/Home Basic and Vista support mouse and digitizer, not gestures. XP, Windows 2000, CE, XP Embedded, Mac OS X and Linux are mouse-only in the matrix. Listed versions include Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 32/64-bit, CE 2.13/3.0/net 6.0, Mac OS X 10.4/10.5/10.6 and above, and Linux kernel 2.4/2.6x and above, not earlier versions. The separate Windows 8/8.1/10 feature note permits basic touch but does not guarantee full functionality or normal performance. Windows 11 touch is not established by this manual. The 10-point hardware capability and generic display Plug & Play do not establish every host or mode.
- Dual-monitor touch limit: Set up the primary monitor first using Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings > Display > Setup, then connect and set up the second. Touch works on only one monitor at a time, not both simultaneously.
- Cleaning and afterimages: Do not scratch or rub the touch surface with a hard object, or use abrasive cleaner, wax or strong solvents. Clean cabinet stains with a cloth lightly moistened with mild detergent, then a soft dry cloth. For the touch surface, the manual permits a soft clean cloth with mild window-glass cleaner or a 50/50 water/isopropyl-alcohol mixture. Prolonged rubber or plastic contact can damage the cabinet finish. If liquid enters, unplug and contact the dealer or service centre. Prolonged static images can leave afterimages; changing the image or several hours switched off may clear them.
- Ventilation and usage: Keep at least 10 cm clearance from walls and do not cover vents, including after stand removal. Operating on the cabinet back, side, upside down or on soft material may cause damage. Face-up stand tilt does not waive these precautions. Avoid direct sun, humid, dusty or smoky locations and sudden temperature changes. The manual says the product is not specifically designed for 24/7 usage in all environments; do not assume an unrestricted continuous-use rating.
- Performance and environment: Typical brightness is 405 cd/m² through touch, not the separate 450 cd/m² bare-panel or 255 cd/m² default energy-saving figure. The exact 15.6-inch IPS model supports Full HD 1920 × 1080, with typical 25 ms response and 700:1 contrast through touch. IP65 applies to the front face only, not the whole enclosure or outdoor suitability. Net weight is 3.4 kg excluding the adaptor, not shipping weight; typical 18 W power excludes connected USB devices. The display rating of 12 V DC/2 A is separate from the adaptor ratings. Operate at 0–40°C and 20–80% humidity, non-condensing; −20–60°C and 10–90% humidity are storage limits.
