Buying checks

  • Touch compatibility: Multi-touch requires a supported operating system. Check the intended host operating system and touch connection before ordering.
  • Protection rating: The IP65 protection rating applies to the front of the display.
  • Permitted physical positions: The diagram permits landscape, either portrait rotation and face-up; inverted landscape is not available. Physical position does not promise content rotation. With the supplied stand, tilt is 90° upward and 5° downward. Hold the panel to prevent toppling, avoid touching the LCD and keep hands clear of the moving stand.
  • Mounting and ventilation: Use a wall, ceiling or desktop arm strong enough for the display and mount, and regularly check screw tightness. Use four M4 screws with 8 mm chassis insertion (diagram L), allowing separately for mounting-plate thickness; this is not an 8 mm total screw length. Overlong screws can contact electrical parts and cause electric shock or damage. An external cabinet needs cooling fans and vents to stay within operating limits. Keep at least 10 cm from walls and do not block rear vents when removing the stand. Do not rest the enclosure on its back, side or a soft surface; an approved face-up mounting position is not permission to obstruct ventilation.
  • Touch operating systems and modes: The legacy matrix lists Windows 8/8.1/10 and Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional/Enterprise/Ultimate for mouse, touch digitizer and Windows gestures. Windows 7 Starter/Home Basic and Vista have mouse/digitizer but not gestures; XP is mouse-only. Windows 2000, CE, XP Embedded, Mac OS X and Linux are mouse-only in this table. Listed versions include XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 32/64-bit, CE 2.13/3.0/net 6.0, Mac OS X 10.4/10.5/10.6 and above, and Linux kernel 2.4/2.6x and above; earlier versions are not supported. Do not infer Windows 11 or current macOS certification from this legacy wording. Even Windows 8/8.1/10 basic touch does not guarantee full functionality or normal performance. Start the monitor before the host; touching during startup or BIOS power saving can prevent touch-driver operation. Dual-screen setup permits touch on only one monitor at a time, not simultaneous touch across both.
  • Host connections and power: Connect a separate video signal and USB cable to the computer for touch; connect the audio cable for computer audio. Switch both devices off before wiring and connect the adaptor to the display and mains cable before supply. Use the appropriate signal cable and secure its finger screws; an incorrect connection can seriously damage equipment. The manual requires protective earth, a nearby accessible socket and a 120/240 V, 20 A maximum building circuit breaker. Remote Control Touch V01 is optional. These instructions do not establish an internal PC, USB generation, hub or USB-C charging capability.
  • Included kit and adaptor variants: The package lists the mains cable, AC adaptor, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB and audio cables, stand neck/base with their screws, one M3 × 6 mm cable-cover screw, screwdriver and Safety/Quick Start Guides. VGA cable and optional Remote Control Touch V01 are not included. The manual lists approved 12 V adaptor variants rated 50 W/4.16 A and 60 W/5 A, not two adaptors supplied together. Use the iiyama-supplied adaptor and an approved cable at least H05VVF 3G 0.75 mm²; the manual excludes guarantees/warranties for problems or damage caused by non-supplied cable/adaptor. The 12 V DC/4 A display input is not either adaptor output rating.
  • Touch tools, cleaning and disinfection: Use a finger or plastic stylus with tip radius at least 0.8 mm; sharp, pointed or metal tools can permanently damage touch and invalidate remaining warranty. Switch off/unplug before cleaning and contact dealer/manufacturer service immediately after liquid or foreign-material entry. Use a soft clean dry cloth for routine care, or thoroughly diluted mild detergent wrung out tightly followed immediately by a dry cloth. Do not scratch with hard objects or leave the touch panel wet; prolonged rubber/plastic contact can damage the cabinet finish. The same manual warns against spraying or wiping alcohol/disinfectants and lists strong solvents/cleaning sheets, bleach, peroxide, acids/alkalis and abrasives as damaging, while its separate touch-surface row mentions mild window cleaner or 50:50 water/IPA. Preserve these warnings: this is not blanket alcohol/disinfection approval. Alcohol can crack/discolour the cabinet, damage touch treatment and components; it recommends disinfecting hands away from the monitor, understanding all cautions if disinfection is unavoidable and avoiding frequent alcohol disinfection.
  • Location, operating schedule and image retention: Avoid direct sun, sudden temperature changes and humid, dusty or smoky locations. Route cables safely and do not place heavy objects on the display. This product is not specifically designed for 24/7 use in all environments. Long static images can leave afterimages; changing the image or switching off for some hours allows gradual recovery. Retain original packaging or ask dealer/manufacturer service for replacement-packaging advice before service return.
  • Measurement and operating scope: Typical brightness through touch is 305 cd/m²; 350 cd/m² is the separate bare-panel figure and 190 cd/m² is the default energy-saving setting. The bare-panel and default-setting figures are not the typical finished-touch brightness. The 1000:1 contrast is measured through touch. Net 5.9 kg excludes the AC adaptor, not shipping weight; 517.5 × 374 × 239.5 mm is the stated product configuration. Typical 21 W excludes connected USB devices. Operate at 0–40°C and 20–80% humidity, non-condensing; −20–60°C and 10–90% are storage limits. IP65 applies only to the front face, not the whole enclosure. The 21.5-inch diagonal differs from the nominal 22-inch size category.
  • Confirm grey-to-grey response time: The manufacturer's manual and datasheet give different grey-to-grey response figures (>8 ms and 8 ms). Confirm the applicable response-time rating before specifying this model for response-sensitive use.
